PERSONAL WORK
This project was my graduating film from LAU. My roles within the team varied from Director to Layout Artist to Lead Animator, making this a project that I truly knew inside out. The overarching theme of this project was 'Nostalgia', and how this can be represented visually to evoke empathy from an audience.
An artsy zine that I recently finished. The illustration were based on Floriography (the Victorian language of flowers) as each 'meaning' prompted the content of the illustrations. The zine was initially intended to be focused on character, however as the project progressed the scene in which the characters were set became more and more important.
Personal work includes illustrations and animations made for fun with no particular goal in mind. This makes up a good chunk of my portfolio as I still really enjoy making things just for myself. A lot of these types of drawing never see the light of day, but occasionally I produce an outcome that I'm really proud of. Sometime this even leads to a bigger project or influence my style of making in the future.
